Osteopath & Injury Specialist

MEET COLE
My name is Cole Gibbens M.Ost and I am the proud owner of rejuven8 health hub. I have qualified with a master's degree from the European School of Osteopathy as well as qualifications in sports massage, dry needling and acupuncture.

Despite the young face I have been treating and helping those with aches, pains or niggles for over 3 years and specialise in sports injuries with a particular passion for running-related injuries. I also specialise in paediatric and headache Osteopathy which includes cranial techniques. I aim to help as many people with their aches and pains to help improve their well-being and aid them in living pain-free.

It was a running injury which led me to Osteopathy. I visited my local Osteopath with a bad quadriceps tear which then made me think deeply about how I could prevent these types of injuries from happening again. I am well invested in the running world as a proud club runner and have represented my county at cross-country.

I now also create vlogs about the running scene and I have consequently built a small community which supports me in all of my running endeavours.
About rejuven8
rejuven8 is all about helping people improve their wellbeing and take control of the pain and injuries they may experience. The goal of rejuven8 is to eventually offer '8' different healthcare options to be able to tackle any ache, pain or niggle a patient may have. This is a personal target of Cole's to help him constantly improve his knowledge, in the hopes he can pass it on to his patients.

Osteopathy

is a hands-on approach to healthcare that focuses on diagnosing, treating, and preventing a wide range of health problems through the manipulation and strengthening of the musculoskeletal system. This treatment method improves mobility, relieves pain, and supports the body's natural healing processes, making it ideal for both acute and chronic conditions.

Dry Needling

is a therapeutic technique where fine needles are inserted into trigger points within muscles. This treatment helps alleviate muscular pain and tightness by stimulating blood flow and releasing muscle knots. It's particularly effective for treating sports injuries and chronic pain conditions.

Sports Massage

is a targeted massage therapy designed to enhance athletic performance, prevent injuries, and aid in recovery. This specialized technique focuses on manipulating the soft tissues, improving circulation, flexibility, and reducing muscle tension. It's perfect for athletes looking to maintain peak physical condition and expedite recovery times.

What happens during an initial consultation?

During your first visit, the osteopath will take a detailed medical history and perform a physical examination to assess your condition. They will discuss their findings and propose a treatment plan. The first session often includes an initial treatment.

What is your cancellation policy?

Any missed or late cancellations within 48 hours will not be refunded. Late cancellations and missed appointments limit the treatment we want to provide and prevents us from accommodating other patients who want to be seen. We appreciate that some will occasionally miss, forget or cancel appointments for genuine and unforeseen reasons, however, we ask clients to understand and respect the 48 hour cancellation period.

Do I need a referral from my GP to see an osteopath?

No, you do not need a referral to see an osteopath. You can book an appointment directly. However, some insurance providers may require a referral for coverage, so it's best to check with your insurer.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows for easy movement. You may be asked to undress to your underwear for the physical examination, so feel free to bring or wear clothing you are comfortable in.

Does an Osteopath just "crack" me?

No, osteopaths use a variety of manual techniques beyond just 'cracking' joints, such as gentle stretching, massage, and joint mobilization. While joint manipulation is one method, it is part of a comprehensive treatment plan aimed at improving mobility, relieving pain, and supporting overall health.

Can children/babies receive osteopathic treatment?

Yes, osteopathy can be beneficial for children and babies. Pediatric osteopathy is used to address issues such as colic, sleep disturbances, and developmental problems. Osteopaths use very gentle techniques tailored to the needs of children.
